Face the Music Foundation is coming to Nashville. We are pleased to announce that we will be attending this year’s Music Business Association Music Biz Conference on May 14-May 18. This year mark’s the 60th anniversary of the event and we are honored to be part of such a celebrated and storied tradition. This conference represents a next-level opportunity for FTMF to spread our message of music-focused addiction recovery advocacy. The conference will offer vital information and networking opportunities as well as the chance to reconnect with some of the artists with whom we’ve worked in the past, including Saul Paul and others.
Music Biz 2018 will bring together global power players and industry enthusiasts committed to the future of music monetization for 100+ panels, presentations, workshops, private meetings, cocktail parties, live music and more. Sponsors include a variety of organizations, such as Billboard, Facebook, Rhino Spotify, YouTube, Country Music Association, the American Association of Independent Music and much more. Face the Music Foundation is excited for the chance to connect with artists and decision-makers in the music community in an effort to gain more support for our mission of providing advocacy, education and treatment to those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.
Some of topics slated for discussion at this year’s conference will include the fundamentals of artist development, getting into the music business without a formal background, the effects of the Music Modernization Act, financial literacy for emerging recording artists, international licensing, data exchange, common reasons for artist rejection and so much more. The five-day event promises to be a treasure trove of resources and information for new and established musicians, as well as anyone else looking to break into the music industry. We are beyond thrilled to attend, and hope to see you all there for the fun and festivities.
