Her love for music began at a young age as she started performing in various Miami venues since the age of 13. Through word of mouth and her ever growing fan-base\, her name became a staple as one of South Florida’s most talented singer/songwriters. As mentioned in the Miami Herald\, Emily Sheila was described as a “mix between Fiona Apple and Adele with a folky twist”. \nSince then\, Emily has been featured on multiple radio shows and performed on the live television show\, “Breakfast Contigo Morning Show” featuring her song “Florida”. In 2014 she was awarded “Artist of the Generation”. \nEmily holds a bachelor’s degree of Music\, Voice Specialization from Barry University. Building sustainable\, diverse teams to facilitate change and do good makes him happy! \nThe work he’s done with companies such as Delta\, Hilton\, Mars\, Nissan\, Bank of America\, Sony Records\, Arista Records\, and Borders developed his leadership skills. The community relations/marketing role he’s held at Borders was a critical time for me when he identified that a franchise could be part of the fabric of a community; by providing resources and engaging programs. Finding unique ways to differentiate my stores was how he became referred to as the “idea generator” by colleagues. \nDoing more meaningful work was calling him\, and his next role – in dog rescue – led him down the path of wanting to influence change. \nHe combined experiences of rescue volunteer work– and leading team building programs for Fortune 500 companies led to his role of Director of Operations for Big Dog Ranch Rescue. CHANGING THE EMPLOYEE CULTURE was his first assignment from the board. At the ranch he led a team of 40\, grew scheduled volunteer shifts by 60%\, managed a 12-acre facility\, cared for 300 dogs\, and worked closely with board members. During his tenure\, his foundation saved more dogs than any other time in their history. \nEventually\, he co-founded a nonprofit\, which combined dog rescue with addiction recovery. Here he incorporated the care of animals and facility into the daily recovery routine of young men hoping to make positive change in their life. Once that program was thriving\, he was determined to transition into a role helping people directly. Now\, at Face the Music Foundation\, he is doing just that. Community relations\, board development\, fund-raising\, strategic planning\, project management and grant writing\, using music to “do good.” Face the Music’s community programs have expanded beyond S. Florida to Nashville\, Knoxville and Austin Texas in 2020\, and with that growth comes tremendous opportunity to reach/help more people. Music truly is a bridge builder and a healer. \nMusic and songwriting are a big part of his life\, and nurture him in AND outside of work. He still consults as part of a team working with companies looking to implement a workplace culture of innovation and collaboration. \nhttps://www.youtube.com/user/jjacob2ify \nhttps://twitter.com/thesongteam \nhttps://www.facebook.com/thesongteam \n http://thesongteam.com/ \n \n

SUMMARY:Nashville Grace Notes Live from The Front Porch with Special Guest Ericca Latza
DESCRIPTION:About: \nBenefits Face the Music Foundation\, as we stream a 40 minute set\, join us with Scott Barrier and friends for some great acoustic music! \nFeaturing special guest\, Ericca Latza! \nWhere: \nFacebook Live Stream on Face the Music Foundation’s Facebook page. \nEricca Latza’s Biography: \nBorn and raised in Mount Airy North Carolina\, Ericca Latza is a country singer-songwriter pursuing her music career in Nashville\, Tennessee. Music and writing played a huge role in her young life. Most days you could find her after school behind a piano or in her room filling up notebooks with stories. She quickly developed a passion for singing when her parents enrolled her in classical voice lessons. One night her dad showed her how to play a “cheap G” chord on his old acoustic Applause\, and she taught herself how to play guitar. That night was a turning point for her songwriting\, and she hasn’t looked back since. \nThough Mount Airy (better known as “Mayberry”) was her home\, Ericca moved to Wilmington NC in 2016. There\, she spent two years developing herself as a performer. She played on many stages that are local favorites such as The Soundhouse\, Goodfellas\, and Hurricane Alley’s. While growing as a solo artist\, she also launched a band that played on stages across North Carolina. \n In January 2019\, Ericca made the move to Nashville with the hopes of learning to become a well rounded songwriter and a professional in the industry. It was’t long before both her songs and voice began to draw attention. \n Now she works daily to develop her craft by writing for both herself and other artists. She plays writers rounds at many local venues\, and tours in other states as well. \n \n\n
